Mission Statement

BENNETT’S BEAVERS MISSION STATEMENT

Bennett’s Beavers exists to “Improve the Lives of Hospitalized Children” and ensure that they have moments of positive recreation and a diversionary outlet from their illness and hospital stay.

We do this by supplying hospitals, and certain other non- profit children’s organizations, with wood cutouts/figures that the children can paint and decorate for their own amusement and surroundings, or to present as gifts to loved ones and friends.  We currently work with the staffs from 39 Hospitals and Camps in 41 locations in 17 states nationwide, providing over 50,000 pieces per year.  We are open to establishing relationships with as many hospitals as our resources and capacity reasonably can accommodate, and do not discriminate on the basis of religious affiliation or any other factor.

Bennett’s Beavers is an IRS-certified 501(c)(3) charitable organization that has been in existence since 1995.   All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by Federal and State laws. The wood from which we make our cutouts is donated.  We rely solely on donations and fund-raising activities (e.g. – an annual Golf Outing) to maintain equipment and fund other aspects of the operation.   All of our members are unpaid volunteers.  All proceeds go to furthering our mission of supporting children in need.

Our motivation is the smiles on the faces of the children and the joy they receive from working on the figures, if even for a short period of time.  We hope to help create those smiles and those opportunities for enjoyment for a long time to come.
